Minako Anio was initially known as Sailor V. She lived in England with her guardian cat Artimus, fighting for justice with Alan and Katarina. Her love for Alan was unconditional, but a freak accident during an investigation enabled her to see the love between Katarina and Alan. She returned to Japan heartbroken, but with a new maturity.
At the time of her arrival, she realised her prime mission. During the time of the Moon Kingdom, Sailor Venus was captain of the Princess' Royal Guard. As leader of the Sailor Senshi, she is sworn to protect Princess Serenity. The time had come for her to resume that position.
Her character and strength fades somewhat as the series progresses, perhaps enabling the focus to shift to Usagi. However, she still remains a good natured, honest, open-minded, impulsive and yet a responsible and a highly capable soldier of love and justice.
